Opened in July of 1985, South Side Subs has become THE place to stop whether you need subs for a picnic at the Dam or a Friday night dinner the food is always fresh and made to order.
Subs range from meatball sandwiches to ever popular Italian sub filled with a host of meats and cheeses then topped with the famous old time tomato sauce, but that’s not all that’s on the menu. Next time you stop try a salad or an all American favorite hot dog and top it off with chips and a soda.
What began as a partnership between Bob Coons and his daughter, Mary Jane Sherman has grown into so much more than a neighborhood candy store and sub shop, today the store offers hand dipped ice cream and a host of convenience items.
In support of a host of community organizations, South Side Subs also offers fund raising coupons. Ms. Sherman explained her shop is willing to help smaller groups, a boy or girl scout troop, all the way to significantly larger efforts. She quickly explained that coupons appear to be much more convenient for patrons because they can be redeemed at any time.
