You may already know that we supply maps and information to community members and to people visiting the area and that we promote our member businesses and events with our website, e-minders and the Chamber Chapter that you read in The Progress. What you may not know is the benefit that a community derives from having businesses join together in a common effort to promote the area and its people. A chamber of commerce is a voluntary association whose membership is comprised of companies, civic leaders, and individual business people. Its members seek to promote the interests of business, typically in a broad-based way. Chambers of commerce exist on municipal, state, regional, national, and even international levels. Local Chambers of Commerce forums depend largely upon the members and what they deem to be important to their individual community.
Therefore, we are what you want and need us to be. Involvement in your local Chamber of Commerce equals involvement in your community. And in order to make our community grow and prosper, we must get involved. Below you will find benefits that compliment the different aspects of the Clearfield Chamber and our mission. Referrals - The Chamber of Commerce office is a source of information for countless businesses and individuals. We promote our members first by using the membership list as a guide when providing information to the public.

Chamber Web Site - Our website includes the Chamber newsletter, a community calendar of events, a message board, listings of our members by name and by type of business and many other great features. Be sure to provide us with information on events that are happening so we can post them on the web. And every Chamber member is eligible to receive a free e-mail address through our website!
Member Information - Weekly “E-minders” keep our members informed of community events. You will receive this information, plus your event information will be included free of charge by notifying the office by Wednesday the week before the event. Events turned in to the web calendar will be automatically included in the e-minder.
Health Insurance - The Chamber Choice program provides a variety of insurance through the Chamber. For more information call 1-800-377-3539 or visit www.chamberchoice.com.
Gift Checks (click to see accepted locations) - We are proud to offer our local Gift Check program. Just imagine gift certificates that can be spent like cash at any participating business. A list of these businesses is provided with each purchase - more advertising for you! Plus, the program helps keep dollars local. Gift Checks can be purchased at the Chamber office in Clearfield.
Contacts/Networking - “After-Hours”, seminars/workshops, the annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet, awards and community events provide you the opportunity to meet and interact with fellow business leaders. Sponsoring an “After-Hours” event will bring people to your business to find out what you are about! Call the Chamber at 765-7567 for details.
Credit Reports - Chamber members have access to certain services without having to pay individual membership fees. Our credit report service is done on an as needed basis, so you only pay for the report you need at a member discount – we pay the yearly membership fee! Check credit of potential renters, employees or even check your own credit. And, in most cases, we provide same day service!
Consumer Relations - Did you know that according to a recent study by the market research firm, Schapiro Group, consumers are 63% more likely to buy goods and services in the future from a company or business that they believe is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce? In addition, business decision-makers are 58% more likely to think positively of its local reputation and 59% more likely to buy goods and services from another business if it is a chamber member. In today's marketplace, local businesses, like you, need any edge they can find.
Chamber Connection - Our bi-monthly newsletter provides Chamber information to our members. Extra newsletters are printed and kept on our brochure rack to be given out to the general public and sent to people inquiring about our area. All new Chamber members will be mentioned in the bi-monthly newsletter. Your business name, address, phone number and contact person will be listed. Advertising opportunities are also available at reasonable rates within this product. This is direct marketing; mailing to business owners who are concerned with keeping their business dollars in the community! Please call the Chamber office to discuss rates and availability.
Chamber Directory (Click to see our new directory!) - Lists all members including address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address and website address. Many directories are distributed through phone requests and visitors to the Chamber office. Another great way to advertise your business!
Member-to-Member Discounts (click to see current offers) - Discounts from Chamber Members to Chamber Members help increase our numbers which increase our income which increases our community sponsorships and advertising which increase local business traffic which increases...well, you get the picture. We offer Member-to-Member Discount Cards exclusively to our members. As a member, you can add your name to our Member-to-Member Discount Card as well as reap the discount benefits!
Member Referral Discount - When you (a Chamber member) refer a new member to the Chamber of Commerce, you will receive a $10.00 discount (up to $50.00) on your annual dues! Call the Chamber office for details.
Business Advocacy - Through local government contact, the news media, and local lobbying, the Chamber represents the pro growth, pro business voice of its members. The Chamber Legislation Committee receives regular updates from local, state and federal representatives as to ongoing legislative issues affecting your business. The updates are passed on through the newsletter, email, website and interaction with Chamber personnel.
Brochure Racks - Our brochure racks display brochures for members’ businesses. We receive many requests for information regarding Clearfield and surrounding areas; just another way your membership dollars work for you!
Ribbon Cuttings - We are happy to support ribbon cuttings, grand openings, re-openings or ground breakings. Call the office about your event!
Troubleshooting - You are our first priority! On the rare occasion that we receive negative feedback about one of our members, that member is notified with a form, filled out by the customer. This document is sent only to the member involved and includes the name and contact information for the person filing the complaint. This way, you can be kept fully informed and can troubleshoot any difficulties your customers may be having.
You Have a Voice - Chamber members vote for board members and can nominate prospective board members. You are welcome to call or stop by the office and discuss issues of concern. Scheduled appointments are appreciated.
